Today marks my last (scheduled :)) day at work for this year. While I'll still be reading my emails and other social channels for a couple of days more to come, I've also promised my loved ones to take a real time out over the holidays and new year's this time, in order to properly recharge my batteries.  So if you don't see or hear anything from me for an extended period over the next three weeks,  that will be the reason and I'll be back with fresh energy and the same old enthusiasm come January 9th :)

This year started off in a somewhat bad way for me personally thanks to some rather insistent health issues, and then it took a really bad spin in late March thanks to losing my job/OctoPrint's only sponsor back then - the reason I started this campaign and why you are even reading this now here :)

Every one of you helped to turn this around and make it possible for me to continue full steam ahead with working on OctoPrint. You people are the reason for me not losing hope when things looked rather bleak, for the existence of every single release since April (nine all-in-all, including the huge 1.3.0 one and not including several release candidates in between), for OctoPrint continuing at its old pace - or maybe even a faster one? - and for me today still being able to work with all my energy on something I truly and utterly believe in and want to see become better, more powerful and more versatile.

I hope you all have Happy Holidays and that you make it safely into 2017, so that we may continue this journey together then and see where it leads us!

Thank you! 🎄

You deserve a great vacation with your family. Thanks for all your hard work. Can't wait to see what you'll create with recharged batteries! I'm thinking 1.4 will have a direct brain interface - "you will just know what is going on with your printer, and the time lapse is just in your visual cortex!"

Please don't give people ideas, I'd have no idea how to deliver on that 😆

This is my first holiday season as a hobbyist owning a 3D printer, and I've used it to make a number of gifts for family. OctoPrint has helped me to create each, and is overall a joy to use. Thank you so much, Gina, for your time, effort, and passion in helping makers make. All my best to you as you enjoy your holiday. :)
