OctoPrint On Air #37

The thirty-seventh episode of a monthly dev log/Q&A session about all things OctoPrint for my Patrons on Patreon which aired live on January 29th 2021. My Patrons can submit questions to answer during the Q&A session via a Google Form before and also live during the broadcast via the chat. At the beginning I had some issues with a too hot mic, apologies for that. Expect more videos like that roughly on a monthly schedule. If you want to attend the live broadcast and ask questions beforehand or live on air, consider becoming a Patron on Patreon and selecting one of the corresponding perks - that will also help me with continuing to work on OctoPrint full time, which I love doing! On the latest iterations I've found octoprint to be reasonably snappy, but could some latency be due to older pi versions, or WiFi instead of ethernet connectivity? I'm only running it on pi 3 and 4 these days, and not the original or 2 versions. Do you run benchmarks to keep track of performance on different supported platforms at all?" 00:42:18 "I saw creality became a sponsor for octoprint, and that is really good news, congratulations! But what does this mean concretely besides financial support for the project?" 00:44:19 Wrap up

Gina, thanks for all you do. Why would anybody complain about something that is free is beyond me. Please do remember that there are a lot of us that truly appreciate your hard work, the time put on these On-air specials and the constant updates. Keep it up!

Awesome.. only recently discovered octoprint and couldn't work without it now. Thank you so much for your vision and your dedication. It is by far the best way to control printing.

Hi Gina. Octoprint is amazing. Thank you for this creating. I just installed octoprint and am running my first print. The software, the support, and the community that you created is pretty special. I'm so excited to explore more functionality and print more!!
