This is my last day in the office for 2019, and as I'm wrapping up the year I once again wanted to take the opportunity to thank you all for your support throughout it! 🤗

2019 saw two stable releases and nine release candidates of OctoPrint. 1.4.0 will hopefully hit stable early in 2020 and then it's finally back to working on the next big things 😉 There were seven episodes of OctoPrint On Air recorded and published, a migration of the Community Forum happened and several maintenance cycles for it since then too (without any hiccups - huge thanks to my admin Jubaleth who's doing a kick ass job here and keeping my head free of worry about this stuff 💕!). I lost a huge sponsor but I'm already on a good track to make up for that (huge thanks to BigTreeTech for coming aboard). The Merchandise shops finally launched and there are now a lot more people running around in OctoPrint shirts than before. I attended 3D Meetup Sweden in Helsingborg, gave a talk there and had a blast meeting a lot of you, said hi to some people at Formnext (and touched Sanjay's magical hair!), and next year I'll finally make my first trip off the European continent and attend MRRF2020 in Goshen, Indiana, to hopefully increase the number of shaken hands! Also back in October I even got to give a talk about OctoPrint at the German PyCon, so that was exciting!

I'm really grateful that I'm able to continue to work on OctoPrint full time. Like every job it has its bad days (but I have an awesome coping strategy for that), but they are not the majority. Overall it's really fulfilling to be able to work on something that I believe in and that helps people all around the world. So thanks for allowing me to do that!

With that being said, I wish y'all Happy Holidays and a good start into 2020! Personally I'll spend the first with family and the latter with friends, and in the middle have a blast at 36c3 in Leipzig 😁 I'll see all of you again in mid-January, with recharged batteries and new energy to tackle the madness that sometimes is this job 🤪 Until then, take care and happy printing of course!

💚,

Gina
