Over the past few months I have become increasingly inspired by images, films and music from the late 1970s and the 1980s. The work of photographers such as Anton Corbign, Derek Ridgers and Kevin Cummins has been very much in the forefront of my mind when I have been planning some of my shoots, especially my outdoor shoots. In fact, I have rediscovered my love of shooting on location (just in time for the winter!) and hope to do a lot more of it in the future. It was, after all, pretty much all I did when i first started photography and didn't have the lighting equipment for studio work.

My black and white work has evolved quite a lot over the past few months, and I am definitely favouring this style for my location work now. This shoot was the perfect occasion to edit in this style - I feel that Jordan has a look that could suit pretty much any era with the right styling, and I am hoping our next shoot will be a moody Corbijn-inspired shoot in a cool location, weather-permitting!
