I mean I think it would be pretty unrealistic for him to resist the urge completely. the fact he resisted at all and was thinking above eris before himself shows his character growth. even though it may be weird to people, i appreciate the realism in the author making a flawed character that has the chance to grow, because the author could of easily made him a chad character who doesn't think about sex at all. which would be unrealistic asf with him being a virgin for so long lol

One thing the show didn't show well that the Light Novel put emphasis on is that Rudy has the brain of a 12 yr old currently. Kinda like how Aqua in Oshi No Ko was saying that the line between his old doctor self and Aqua Hoshino are blending and soon he'll just be Aqua. That's essentially what happened to rudy. He has the brain and body of a 12 yr old so he's going to be attracted to people his age. In chapter 1 of the Novel they kind of established it by having Rudy think "I should be getting turned on by this, but im not, guess it's cause im her son" when his mother is breast feeding him when he's a new born. Basically showing that his new biological body determines his attraction, because he is now Rudeus, which is why he liked kids his age, and in the future will be attracted to woman that are around his age and not children. Yes he has his memories from his old life, but that's all they are, memories. And his old life pretty much ended when he was around 16, because that's when he became a shutdown and never left his house again, so I'd hardly say he's a 35 year old mentally. Also, keep in mind that in this world, 15 is the equivalent of what 18 is today, they become full grown adults at 15 (since their life spans are usually shorter, just like in medieval times). The reincarnation is always a hard convo. Cause if you were born in a new world, would you just never have an intimate relationship? You'd always be 20-30 yrs older than everyone that's your age. Would you wait until 18 to have sex? Even if you did, you'd mentally be 48, so wouldn't that still be taking advantage? Etc.. it's a nuanced topic.
