So as much as I like a lot of the cast of Bleach I think its pretty annoying when a fighting/war type show has little to no consequence. In and of itself it's acceptable but not when you have a massive onslaught like the Quincy invasion and only one key character dies. Byakuya is probably the worst example of this since he practically had a full on death scene and then they're like "oh he's alive" and just completely undermine it. Love the reaction though and glad you're enjoying it. Even more so glad you're not to hurt and hope you get better soon.

One of Kubo's biggest flaws as an author is showing too much favoritism to a select few characters, often to the detriment to characters that are criminally underused. The usual culprits are Hitsugaya, Byakuya, Kenpachi, and Mayuri. Mayuri especially had to be toned down considerably from an evil man who is cruel and sadistic to friend and foe alike to just a mad scientist who is only cruel to enemies and comic relief with his allies. All because Kubo and the fans liked him too much.

byakura was suppose to die but kubo was getting alot of backlash and death threats from it so he kept him alive.

It does make sense that the toughest characters in Soul Society are the ones to survive. And Byakuya was totally supposed to die. But clearly Kubo changed his mind. Im kinda glad he did to. Because while its a great scene, him dying to a nobody would kinda be shitty. If Ywach had been the one to kill him then sure. That would be great. Perhaps Byakuya is the one who stalls him from taking Ichigo while hes already beaten up. That would be a great death. But I saw the episode a few weeks ago and I cant even remember who he fought. Most of the Quincy arent super memorable.

i was really annoyed that Byakuya somehow did not die after they clearly made him die... but even bigger thing that annoys me is if the enemy had a time limit and the goal was to kill/destroy everyone then why not go full out from the start and also make sure to finish of all the people they toke down and make sure they are dead.
