The thing that I liked about Reigen is that he never envied Mob's powers even he will benefit greatly from it. Even the time that Mob gave him abilities, he immediately recognized it as Mob's and never imagine that he might perhaps awakened psychic abilities. It is because he knows that having psychic powers will never make him special. And even if Mob is temporarily gone as his apprentice, he never did try to exorcise spirits, instead he focused on the things that he can do like community service and stuff. And his advice to Mob to become a good person came back to him at the end of episode 7.
