Yeah, the animation was really odd. And a pretty big focus on feet for some reason.. also why are Emilia's feet bigger than Satan's feet? And there's also that weird shot where it looks like Alas Ramus has her arms coming straight out of her head.

I can't say yet. The art is less detailed overal and especially episode 4 of S2 stands out as weird, but in terms of story it's more or less equal quality so far. If you like d S1, I'd say this is very much worth a try.
