This is basically when the story is done introducing enough of the characters and world to start adding more depth. Don't worry though, there's still a ton of fun to be had.

I'm not so sure about that. One Punch Man is incredibly gory and the manga pushes it quite a bit further than the anime. But I do think that Mob Psycho is a lot more grounded in reality with characters that are a lot more realistic and have more depth.

Yeah I meant emotionally darker. One Punch Man has much more gore but it never really gets that emotional. And if it does it's usually done for laughs.
