YAY, Can't wait to watch this, it has my favourite episode in it :D

I immediately suspected that Milim was never under control. And to me it was pretty much confirmed when they first implied her being up to something. It's kinda basic storytelling logic. The author telling readers certain things through characters. And weirdly enough no one believed me when I brought it up for some reason. And of course I rubbed it into their petty faces when I was right, since I'm always right. Rimuru would be proud.

There's a couple of reasons that Guy absolutely knew Milim couldn't be controlled by the likes of Clayman. It's for the same reason that Guy said that if Rimuru could undo the Absolute Imprisonment then he must be as powerful as he and Leon are. It doesn't come down to strength but skills. I went back and looked at Volume 6 of the LN where this season ends, and it definitely states an important fact about the Slime universe that they really don't much make a point of in the anime. I don't know why they would withhold this info when it explains so much. But I won't spoil it even so.
