Shirou is such a change of pace for Saber, since Kiritsugu barely even spoke to her, used her like a weapon when he was willing to use her at all, and overall was super distant. However, he's a lot like Shirou in that he just tried to take on the burden of the Grail War in his Servan'ts place, in a way. And now here's Shirou, being kind, honest, and friendly, but still putting himself in harm's way. Between these two Masters, it must be night and day.

you keep acting like rin is the crazy one here but shes not. Shiro is the crazy one. She helped him at first because she thought he had nothing to do with the war and she blamed herself for a bystander getting caught up in her fight. After she found out he was a master she decided to help him figure out what is going on because he called saber off from attacking her and she could see he had no idea what he got himself into. After those 2 times she told him that next time they see each other it would be as enemies. Shiro is the one walking around like what she is saying is going in one ear and out the other. It doesnt matter if he is a good person or not. They are enemies during this war and he walks around like hes ignorant and noone can die.
