Sometimes I ask myself why…. I picked up my PC yesterday. I’ve been using my Mac to record and edit And now this morning I go to finish editing my 4 reaction videos my Mac won’t turn on it keeps overheating after loading halfway in the login screen.

Legit.. I am 💯 certain I have a technology curse no joke like I’m dying here.

I really don’t want to take my Mac to the Apple store and I really need to finish editing these videos first.

Does anyone have experience with this Mac issue.

Basically here is my issue:

I turn on my Mac

I log in.

There is a loading bar during login

It makes it halfway and then the fan kicks in to overdrive then everything just shuts down.

And I get that warning sign.

I have no idea what to do… 😭 thank goodness I have my Pc back but my files are on my Mac and I need them off it

Most joke about it.. but I am really starting to believe every piece of technology I use breaks

Equinox

I never encountered that on my mac but I found this recent video about your problem, maybe it will help. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vcgSWFNNCLg

Don't know about mac builds specifically but assuming its basically the same as a pc under the hood it sounds like the CPU fan has died and needs replacing.

She has problems with PC Windows as well

At this point, I think hiring an editor is the better solution.

Honestly? If I was you I cut my losses. Sell the expensive parts and buy a modest pre-built. Start from zero cause the odyssey with that pc is ridiculous lmao I’m sorry you going through that

Jami ate the Glitch-Glitch fruit, confirmed

Try booting into Mac's safe mode to at least grab the data maybe. https://support.apple.com/guide/mac-help/start-up-your-mac-in-safe-mode-mh21245/mac

Did you upgrade your OS to Monterey? Thee are certain problems with this new OS if you have a Intel Chip and not a M! Apple Chip implementet. You can check if your hardwre is defect by starting the MAc and Press Command (⌘)-D for a system check. If everything is ok there it is mostly a software fault. For the moment try to reset your Cache by Starting your MAC and by presssing Option, Command, P, and R. for at least 20 seconds. If you hear a second Startuptune your RAM has been resetet. If this still does not help start in Safe mode and transfer your data to a usb stick or so.

Most overheating issues comes from dust buildup. If you or someone else can clean the fans, it might be a solution. If not then it's more of a hardware issue.

This happened to me a lot that one time when I accidentally deleted my entire operating system. (Long story, but it shouldn’t mean that you have the same situation) Have you tried starting up the computer in Safe Mode (press “Shift” instantly upon restart and hold [won’t work if you have a firmware password tho])? Alternatively, (if you haven’t tried it) you could restart the computer in Recovery Mode (press “Command” and “R” keys on startup) or Internet Recovery Mode (same instructions as Recovery Mode, only press “Command” “R” AND “Option/Alt”). I’m not sure where you initially took your computer to get fixed, but if it wasn’t an official Apple store, then you might want to take it to one if the situation persists. While I’m no certified expert, I’ve had a few situations in the past like this come up, and I can only tell you what worked for me. Hope things work out for you.

Are you low on hard drive space? that can cause the apple error msg you are getting

It's overheating. Could be because of dust( blocking the air) or the fan is not working
