Oh Jamie, I would recommend that you watch the series on another website(watch the fan subs), since all the pop up text are only in Japanese so you will probably lose some information that is trying to be relayed since not all text is translated on the Netflix version. (I'm referring to this episode with introductions but probably also future episodes will have the same problem) The only downside is that, there will be huge amount of text that sometimes fly by, and sometimes you will need to pause to get all the information (this is of course also not required, but the text are there so that you can read it if you want). This could be both a positive and a negative: positive is that you can pause there, if you want to make a comment on something(and of course get what the people are saying e.g. what they wrote on the blackboard); negative is that you could get distracted with all the text. If you want a recommendation for a website where I watched it, just reply to this comment if you are interested. 😁👍

Yay! I'm so glad you decided to watch this! The manga has been a favourite of mine for a while! As far as I can tell, this is exactly what is in the story too! And I'm really happy with the animation! This is such a cute and funny series!

I was the same as you with my friends I was so good at talking and even with other students I warmed up to really quick, but sometimes it got so bad that if I wanted to know the price of something at the store I would have to have my younger sister ask the price for me. I think it was working retail that forced me to talk to strangers and be able to start a convo. It’s a bad feeling having that kind of anxiety! It gets better tho with time. You just have to jump in and put yourself into situations where you have no choice.

The subtitles on Netflix suck but this series requires more time and effort than your average anime so I guest is not horrible, I will recommend you to watch the fan sub just to see what they were talking about on the final scene, is not really important but is really sweet.

Which is fucking insane, since I did some subbing for a media studio at school, and even the mere 10k subtitling program they had, was able to manually position the text any way any location I felt like. Insane that a fucking multi-billion dollar company can't buy similar shit, probably even a better one costing 100k or w/e have you, if even some public school can buy shit like that ez

I watched the first ep (fans sub! / and did a better job) and after that I finally started reading the manga ( I had it in my toread list for 3 years or so) and I read all 324 chapters in like 2 days. (and I bought all manga volumes available on the 2nd day)

I read the manga and to be honest I really think the show really does it justice. It's one of my most favorite manga's I've ever read and I hope the anime keeps doing such an amazing job.
