YEP you were overthinking too much about the class upgrade, Naofumi gave them the freedom to choose.

Something small I didn’t notice the first time I watched this is that Therese’s hair changes from blue to red whenever she does her jewel magic.

While the anime likes to play down how deeply scarred Naofumi is, on top of his general distrust towards others and the bottomless rage he has locked inside, he also isn't in any state of mind to even think of romance at this moment in time. Just the thought of women approaching him with "ulterior motives" elicits disgust in him making him feel sick to his stomach. Though Raphtalia and Filo are some of the few exceptions to that, so he doesn't feel disgusted when they get close to him, his mind still avoids letting his thoughts drift into the direction of romance or sex So comforting each other or trying to advance their relationship and stuff like that is simply nothing Naofumi would think off without really being pushed to it. Also little trivia that would have been in Naofumi's inner monologue here: In his world Naofumi apparently didn't really like to drink, since he was always the one staying sober and having to take care of his drunk friends. Not that he intentionally stayed sober or anything like that, he simply never got drunk while drinking with his friends. He also never felt motion sick in his life.

these were some good episodes, also same boat here like you feel, things seem to be going a little too smoothly w/those 2 that Naofumi seemingly wanted to befriend. I mean.. spies always can be hella convincing w/putting on the decent n helpful ppl, jovial good guy/gal act. great way to earn ppl's trust n get intel

The Point is that he already had that constitution before he became a Tank, while he was a normal student in his own world.

I am so against the naofumi and raphtalia ship, she is a kid (10 years old I think) she grew up fast cause demis grow as they level up but just in body honestly she is 10 he is 20 if they get together trow naofumi in jail. Honestly if they end up together change the anime title to "that time I raised my wife"

Yeah its a little confusing but he gave them the right to choose what classes they wanted to upgrade to but the system it self limited what they could upgrade too. The queen mentions that certain items could affect the class upgrade system as in the case with Filo's Cowlick. The system it self was directing them down a path is how i take it. I've noticed this show likes to do a decent amount of subliminal messaging or at least not directly telling exactly every little thing how it works. It likes to show things and then leave it up to the viewer to interpret it which i think is kind of cool. I've always been of fan of the show don't tell method of story telling it also leaves a lot of replay value because you catch new stuff you didn't notice the first time through.

I'm not going to mention anything for future upcoming episodes as to not spoil anything but i will say that there are no other heroes from other lands. One of the things the queen mentioned in the previous episode when accusing the king of treason was that Melromarc ended up summoning all 4 of the cardinal heroes when each major nation was only suppose to summon 1 hero. This is also why Fitoria mentioned that she was running around protecting the other nations from the wave attacks because the Heros were only protecting Melromarc. This is also why at the end of the trial for the king and princess the queen asked Naofumi if he would side with Melromarc and Naofumi said that he was a hero of the world and he would go where ever the waves show up instead of just helping Melromarc.

Will you watch the openings somewhen? That's the thing im always looking forward to the most, but some people forget about them very quickly.
