i thought the art style was really off, when i watched the eps back to back. Like the more detailed characters lost their detail its not as bad as sins season 3 in my opinion

The reason why the anime had to take a break because it was too close to the manga. At the time that the first series ended it was only 15 weeks behind the manga. If they continued then they would have caught up before being able to finish the arc.

Yeah this artstyle is closer to Mashima's own, particularly the style he developed around after the timeskip, pretty much how he draws to this day (not picture perfect of course, his own work will always have more personal detail as artist vs anime tends to). But yeah, love his style a lot and seeing the evolution of it from rave master to now with Eden's zero is a like a cool timeline

It's not a spoiler because it literally is visible to one in the screen. I also noticed that the first time watching the episode. It's like saying idk "Zeref was tearing up when Acnologia blasted Tenrou-Jima". Just because it doesn't seem too obvious because it's only visible for a few frames, doesn't mean it spoils anything like "Why did Zeref have tears in his eyes that moment?"
