Always hyped for Overlord!

Yesss, thank you :)

Monsi7

Ainz has lost his Humanity at the start of the Anime and you can see him slowly becoming what his character in the game always represented. A -500 Karma Overlord with a strong sense of protecting the Guild by ANY means.

skiks

The reason Ains was mad is because if his friends had sent them they would have said, "Send my regards to Momonga." Remember he changed his name just recently. It was insulting to him that they would lie about his comrades.

Monsi7

And you also said "some people really needed the Money". Now Imagine someone from your Family is dying of an Illness. You need money as fast as possible and you choose to go to a place and rob it. Are you in the right or wrong? The Workers got Gold and Treasures outside of Nazarick near the Entrance. They had a choice to take it and leave. But they wanted more and paid for it. Think about the Soldiers in the beginning of the Anime. They tried to Slaughter the Village. But you never asked yourself why those Soldiers did it. Many have probably Families at home who needed the money from the Army to survive. They did horrible things, but its quite possible in this Universe, that the Children of those Soldiers will starve or be sold into prostitution or as slaves. Basically life sucks in any world, but we do what we can to survive at any cost.

Delip K Hurtault

The only counter to this is that it's hypocritical cause Ainz lured them there in the first place. He knows how adventuring and guilds work and he knew they would take the bait. The treasure outside was just to make him feel better about himself for doing it.

actually i can understand if some ppl feel uncomfortable with Ainz's actions (bcuz they are supposed to inhumane) but I dont think Ainz is on his "high horse". in fact, he is playing it really safe for someone who has so much op abilities. you can tell from the story that he has a tendency to be overly cautious even though his abilities were leagues above his opponents. he even said it in these episodes that he "does not believe that he was the only chosen person" basically meaning that he believes that there must be someone out there that is just as strong or even stronger than he is. and in order to protect himself and nazarick, he is constantly on guard and always seeking new ways to improve their strength. I think that's one of ainz's greatest strengths, his insight and cautious nature rather than just his op abilities. He doesn't underestimate his opponents and makes strategic moves. he might not be as good as demiurge but he definitely is intelligent.

well the first part you need to remember he lead the workers to the tomb but he dint give permission to enter, ainz is just playing semantics with them the second this guys try to trick him by using ainz friends so he got pissed, also the the thing about this story is that there are no hero or villains just powerful individuals the end of the season is the perfect example of how shallow the tag "hero" or "villain" is

Skebaba

It doesn't help he was born into a dystopian anarcho-capitalistic society, either. That kind of environment tends to make you less sympathetic, since humans mirror other humans for behavior from birth, and if everyone ignores the homeless people dying from getting their lungs fucked since they don't have a habitat to live in, nor the necessary lung-augments to survive the toxic atmosphere of Earth outside environment-controlled structures, they are pretty much dead based on RNG of their genetics etc, why would you care either? Dude literally started working after elementary school (his parents literally died from overwork so they could afford to give him an elementary school education, FYI)

Skebaba

For example; the Elf SLAVES were left alive, since as slaves they had 0 choice in whether they would enter or not. Now they in fact work as attendants to Aura & Mare (Ainz solved the problem of how to deal w/ them when they enter puberty and the birds & the bees thing need to be explained. Now he has 3 Elf slaves to do it for him instead, bada bing bada boom), and although the anime skipped this, they basically are 100% loyal to them, as they have blue-green heterochromia, which all the descendants of the Elf King have in this world, so they basically think Aura & Mare are his progeny (even tho they are obviously Dark Elves and not Elves, but even so that just means their mother prolly was one, nothing more)

Please consider watching Isekai Quartet please

Cleven Anthony

Lose ? Lmao from what I’ve seen cause I’m anime only. This man hasn’t even really tried yet and I think this is just his world to conquer the only thing that really threatens him is someone like him another player or if his guardians get turned against him but even then with a lot of help he was able to defeat the strongest guardian on his own with some prep

Jose silva

Something that should be very clear is that Ainz is a villain no matter how much people like to deny it, the fact remains is that his not a hero at all. Just wanted to point that out because some people that were afraid others would dislike Ainz because his evil or something were trying to portray him in another light where he was doing this because he had no choice and we all know that its not true.

Collin

Ainz just wants to see his friends again prior 1 for him, and he for sure had a video game mindset when dealing with the intruders. Them lying about his comrades of did not help otherwise he might have been let them go. Hopefully the human kids he took in will help keep him somewhat human and not completely lose sight of his goal.

I want Ains to win!! lol im here all for the violence lol hahaha

Rudeus Greyrat

I mean if you read the light novel in the very first volume ainz says he's very scared and wary that other players might be in this world as well and in this world as well and in terms of strength he is considered to be middle of the pack compared to other level 100s that were in the game, because he was more focused on the role playing part of the game. He regretted not spending time leveling up his stats other than magic, because now that he is trapped in the game he has no way of understanding how the leveling system works. Thats why he gathers and captures people who have martial arts skills and why he keeps hamsuke and the lizard men to see if he can level up his skills somehow in this world. That's why he travels the world as an adventurer so he doesn't give away the fact he's a blessed person from another world

Rudeus Greyrat

Ainz isn't a kid by the way. I think he's like a 30 year old business man, because in the light novel he talks about how he tries to use references of how his business was run back in the real world and compares it to how he tries to run the tomb

luis delgado

the concept of hero and villain is subjective especially in this world, for the people of anris village he is a hero, the point of this series is the lack of morality in power. in this world powerful people get to decide what hey are

Theron Hunter

The twins were sold as slaves by their parents and dies from hunger.

Lucky Rabbit

So whos gonna tell her what happens to the twin sisters that got left behind?

Ryuuji Gremory

Yes he is a grown man but in his dystopian world he regularly worked alongside children as fellow corporate slaves so being a Salaryman by itself doesn't necessarily mean not being a child in his world.

Jose silva

What? You brought up why people might be uncomfortable with what Ainz is doing but than you started to talk about how cautious he was. The reason people are uncomfortable with his actions are because he takes life's even if their inocent to further his own agenda. His personality is a separate thing.

Creeperclaw

Truly a happy ending for no one, except the elf slaves and a tomb full of monsters.

jack xiv

it's really sad what happened to arche's little sisters💔, the anime didn't show it but in the novel after arche died what happened was that their father sold his two little daughters as slaves for money just to maintain his noble image. What's more f** up is that they also died due to working as slaves. Finally and this was very very sad which made me cry is that the two little sisters died thinking that their older sister abandoned them and ran away

Azazel

In my opinion from this i wouldnt give him the vilain status, like they atacked his hous with the mind set to kill everything inside and steal everything, imagine if Nazarik was weak and this happened, they would have goten masacered. the strong won, and thats how it has been in our wourld forever, when the strong wins we say in history that the good won the evil. Thats how greedy and twisted humans are but we never acept that fact.

Lloyd Edwards

do you know what show you're watching? Ainz has been wasting people since day 1 and now you're not ok with it? Yes it was sad what happened but its nothing new. You spent 2 episodes with them and thats enough to make u hate Ainz??

Heruwath

It's not black & white, it's 50 shades of grey. There are exceptions such a Gazef, and maybe Climb, tho he is the naive one and will get his turn to decide. But everyone else is just in that grey area, some less, others more dark. Same goes for Ainz. It's not easy to define him as evil, since he does quite some impressive stuff for many people and even for whole species. When you dive into this world you also realize, that Ainz is basically perceived as evil from the get go. He is an undead lich overlord, and normal humans tend to hate on them. It's realy complicated.

Overlord_Ashalon

Ainz was a full-grown adult with a dead-end job that he hated not a kid.

Overlord_Ashalon

This episode does turn a lot of stupid people who for whatever reason think Ainz is the hero of the story when he is really the villain off. It's the reason why when I recommend this series to pretty much anyone I know who likes anime that Ainz is the villain.

Overlord_Ashalon

Want more depression according to the author Arche's sisters are eventually sold into slavery by their parents and then die.
