In the blu-ray version of Frozen Bond (not on Crunchyroll), the black screen lines about Puck's contract are actually voiced, by Echidna. Also note how Beatrice calls him "bubby", and she was created by Echidna. Nothing is stated yet but I think Puck's situation might be similar to Beatrice. Just like how Echidna wanted to see if Beatrice would actually leave the Library herself, maybe she wanted to see if Puck would form a contract with Emilia himself. (might be wrong but it sounds reasonable)

You mentioned wanting to see Emilia interact with Petelgeuse during the present storyline, so I wanted to share something I read the other day. At the end of Episode 23, Emilia fought him when the Witch's Cult attacked the village. Shortly after she deals the finishing blow, she looks around at the village, then starts crying. At the time, I assumed her tears were out of guilt, because the town was destroyed and so many people died. In light of these new revelations from Emilia's past, however, people are wondering if Emilia actually cried because she killed Petelgeuse. Granted, it wasn't his actual body, but his voice and mannerisms are pretty distinguishable. After rewatching that scene, I think the way she cried looks kind of unnatural, almost like she wasn't expecting to cry. The anime intentionally hid her eyes when the tears began; we see a close-up of her face, but everything above the nose is off-screen. When you finally see her entire face, her eyes look down, she notices the tears, and wipes them away; it's almost like she didn't even realize she was crying. Maybe her body was reacting subconsciously, since her memories were still sealed. Just a theory.

Notice how Pandora has done nothing wrong. She has not attacked anyone (except Regulus, but he attacked first), it's all been the others being too dumb and trying to attack her, thus getting their friends killed as a consequence.

Just realized in this episode that Echidna wasn't the witch everyone hated. Man I am slow. For some reason, her introduction made me think that.
