Ahh I was so frustrated when this was over! I love this series so much. Lucky for me more seems to be coming out tomorrow. 4 & 5 I hope. Actually I'd say it would be better to watch them together. But your choice. Fun fact concerning the dub. Tia Ballard who voices Chiho also voices Happy in Fairy Tail. The dub is actually pretty good. You say the Netflix subs go a little fast so I'd seriously recommend the English version if you ever want a relaxing rewatch. Maou's english voice is Josh Grelle who might just be might favorite dub actor. Anyways thanks so much for reacting to the series. I look forward to tomorrow.

I don't think it's as simple as the world is changing him, the only explanation is he's always been like this. It's just the war has presented him as some evil villain.. we don't know the specifics of what happened in their world, his backstory or why he even led this war against humanity. What we know of his involvement and the war is what we saw in episode 1 which was the very end of it. I haven't read the light novels but I want to get into it considering that as of right now there is NO chance of the anime coming back which is sad :( this really is a good show and interesting as an isekai

The Light Novels are FANTASTIC! I own up to volume13 but have only read up to 6. They are on my rainy day shelf ya know. Something to pull down if I'm having a bad day or I'm sick. And since the anime only covers the first 2 volumes there's still plenty of this series to enjoy.
