daaaaang, you shoulda checked out the dub! Sub is great too but the dub was fantastic Christian bale was the voice of Howl too :')

smf_frieza

Idk after this I was curious and watched parts of the dub and Howl's voice was the only one I liked but the others sounded so monotone

Nice, can't wait to watch this, also have you heard of Ni No Kuni, it's a ps3 game with Studio Ghibli animations. It has a really great anime style story. I think you'd really enjoy it. I loved playing it. such a great game.

David

Always love seeing sub over dub :D Prefer anything in its original design as much as possible to avoid losing stuff in the translation.

The thing I like the most about Howl's is that they do an Ed Elric transformation but in the span of a movie instead of an entire series.

It's great to see you reacting to this amazing movie! :D It's one of my favorites among Ghibli Movies ❤️. Did you watched Mononoke Hime (Princess Monoke)? If you didn't, it would be so nice to see you reacting to it! 😍

Do you remember when sophie told young howl to look for her in the future and then in their first meeting in the alley Howl told sophie “Sorry I’m late, I was looking for you” and his ring sparkled (the ring that is supposed to guide you home) so Howl was always looking for her, he knew that was sophie that’s why he let her stay at the castle.

Konosuba S2 when?

For as many times as I've seen this movie, it's the first time I've seen the sub. I may be biased but I definitely like the dub more, they had such an amazing cast with Christian Bale and Billy Crystal and Sophie's VA really nailed it with the fluctuations of her spell. Overall though it's such a great movie and and I really enjoyed watching it again with y'all. Can't have a Miyazaki movie without flying <3

The dub is way better, their voices had way better emotions when sub it's just the same monotone , and I love Sophie's accent in English

This movie is great, but one of my favourites you should try is "Castle in the Sky" ;) probably nostalgia but for me it has such calm moments and the drawing is beautiful too :)

SonicKing2004

I must agree. I too haven't watched the sub before now, and while I didn't find the sub bad in any way I also prefer the Dub version, especially when it comes to Calcifer. Try as I might I couldn't get used to the pitch of Calcifer's Japanese VA (though thankfully it wasn't as grating as Goku's Japanese VA in DBS) and he had a snarky sense of humor in the Dub that I just enjoyed more. Having said that, however, I am glad that she was able to upload this and that we got to watch it together with her regardless of the format, and I hope that we can do it again soon with other Studio Ghibli films like Castle in the Sky and Naussica of the Valley of the Winds.

you should watch Grave of Fireflies

Elite968

Princess Mononoke is another great Anime film from Hayao Miyazaki, who contributed a lot for Anime in the western world. It is a masterpiece and should definitely be watched by any Anime fan. The dub is also great. ( some even say better than sub )

Havent watched this myself but like many others are saying princess mononoke is a must haha

These are all great movie recommendations (Princess monoke, castle in the sky, Porc Rosso and so on) i really recommend a semi new movie called "Your Name" (Kimi no Na Wa) it's so cute and was one of the biggest modern anime movies, The film was also a major commercial success, with a total gross of $359 million, becoming the highest-grossing anime film and Japanese film of all time, the fourth-highest-grossing film of all time in Japan, the ninth-highest-grossing traditionally animated film, and the 16th-highest-grossing non-English film worldwide. It's so good i can highly recomend it. And the music is also composed by Radwimps, so that's a bonus (the zen zen zense is a really good song!)

Sebastian

I already saw some comments about it but again you must watch Princess Mononoke it's my favorite Hayao Miyazaki movie and I'm sure you will like it too :)

These anime movies used to scare the hell out of me as a kid

GoldArthur

You should try watching it again in dub if you do watch it again. The dub was surprisingly well done.

''Anyways I plan on still putting out a reaction a day, I just can't overload my schedule like previously it just becomes too overwhelming and I am unable to work on other projects off to the side that I am passionate about.'' It has been 4 days already....

Princess Mononoke is a must watch, if you haven't.

Kimmo Hagberg

studio ghibli's movies are just awesome masterpieces. if you haven't watched it then try Princess momonoke and Castle in the sky.

Phantaminum

Watch Princess Mononoke and Spirited Away next or better yet just watch every Hayao Miyazaki movie because they are all astounding for he is considered the best and or greatest (all the movies should be watched in Dub because the are fantastic, and no one will yell at you)(I find it easier watching an entire movie that is dubbed rather than reading the subbed for 2 hours)

Phantaminum

Naussica and the Valley of the Wind, Spirited Away, Grave of Fireflies, and My Neighbor Totoro aswell

Phantaminum

The English dub of Studio Ghibli movies are perfect and you can still put on the sub titles for the haters

Maginpui

Im not sure i 100% really get the story but thia movie was just really sweet lol
