Hey guys just keeping you updated. Fairy tail has been uploading for 3 hours now... my internet keeps cutting in and out.

Basically the spectrum guy told me my uploading speed probably won’t ever get past 5mbps tops until this lockdown is over because they can’t fix it. So that’s great 😤😤😤. Anyways once Fairy Tail for YT is uploaded I will begin to upload Konosuba

Why do bad things keep happening to good people?

So no full FT reaction on Patreon?

Hairy Potter

Alright. It’s cool. Thanks for the update.

Spectrum is such a scam, do they have monopoly in your area too? Heard so many Spectrum horror stories from people that I follow on twitter. One of them found a much smaller scale ISP and switched to it, still have some issues due to covid but he's had way better experience with them so far, no idea what ISP he uses or which area he lives in LA though (I think he mentioned he lives close to the LCS Studio)

For internet I’ve been relying on Fios for years now. For one year I’ve had optimum, i had to keep resetting the modem due to the internet going down, calling the company only for them to say the tech installed it wrong, and so on. Went straight back to Fios after that, never had any problems again.

Wasn't Kaguya-sama supposed to be uploaded after FT? 5mbps is a crime, it should be illegal to be charged for that in a first world country.

Time to move? I'm sure u pay a lot living in LA vs somewhere less... or maybe rent a home share with bf? Somewhere with fiber optics?

Voidaken

I mean, that's a lie. He's just saying that because it sounds like it's a good enough excuse. They're short-changing you and your neighbors because they don't want to spend extra time and money giving you what you're entitled to.

YoungInugami

Is it 2 or 3 eps? Cuz the thing I wanna see is ep 67 and I dont wanna wait another couple days for u to see it cuz it's awesome lol

Is the internet service that bad overseas ?

Chris Poveroni

With people staying home during the covid-19 issue, largely populated cities have their internet being very heavily taxed because everyone's onlne at once, all the time.

At this point I would call customer support and terminate your account. Explain that you have gotten nowhere with all their attempts and that it's affecting your work. Trust me, using the canceling account will definitely make them work with you and do something about your speed dilemma. Else, I would just explore nearby mobile companies and look into their hotspot plans, making sure to choose one that has good coverage in your area.

my internet is still super quick in canada toronto damn

Jessica

Unless they really cant do everything. i mean everyone's home cuz of covid-19 using the wifi

If you have problems uploading your videos you should use HEVC (H.265) instead of AVC (H.264) for your videos. It will take longer to export, but because the file size is about 50% smaller (same quality), you should be able to upload your videos much faster.

smf_frieza

Ive tried H.265 and it makes my videos take like 4 hours to export compared to an hour xD

Sebastian

That's a problem.. As you probably know a Laptop is not the best solution for exporting/encoding videos. I assume that you already checked all available internet providers. I'm really sorry that we can't help you more :(

Kamui

One solution: move out. More room. better internet. Get a PC. Results = better = Everyone is happy.

Why Laptop? Months ago she reached a Goal where she wanted to buy a "strong" Computer, so either she didnt get one or she was buying crap (No front ofc but maybe she was just trolled and bought a crap PC ^^) If she want to, she can just send me a PM, im encoding 4k Raw Videofiles into x265 Videofiles

Oui Oui

Spectrum isn't that bad, I'm able to upload an hour video pretty fast. about 30 mins to 1 1/2 hours

smf_frieza

It only is bad because of the lockdown, normally I never had a lot of issues with it. Plus once this is over my internet should be running pretty fast

the problem is that we have no clue when this will truly be over so who knows how long ISP's will be impacted. Plus as someone from an area where the ISP you use does not exist and only the other super major ones exist I can say with "somewhat" certainty that this is really just a problem that the company itself is having a problem with and that if you were to switch companies you would be fine (I know this might not be possible due to various lease agreements etc...). Thankfully in the area that I am in I found a good place to live that has good internet and other expenses at a good cost but I know how it feels to be stuck in a place that is not ideal as I have had many friends in the same predicament.

You should get yourself a WiFi Range Extender. It doubles the wifi signal from your router to expand coverage.
