They met the kid in a "filler" type episode. Also they explained everything before sending them back. I mean the Incantation he said gave a pretty big hint

Season 3 is actually on episode 20 as of today so you’ll be able to catch up just in time if u watch 2 episodes twice a week like you’ve been doing.

you're right. the kid was the one Gowther was having an interaction with. It was the filler before season 2 where Gowther transformed into the kids mom to cheer him up

You won't see bad animation until like episode 13ish, that's when they switch studio.

the white is their choice of censoring, except in some shots you will see red blood, and they reshot meliodas's death with that dark aura censoring his stabbing because its 4kids level censoring can't show the kids blood and death even though this show isn't for kids. I am not a fan of censoring things

you are corrct censoring the blood takes you out of the moment, i can understand if theres animation limitations, like in one piece white beard took on way more damage in the manga, but it was hard to animate so compromises had to be made. This anime reshot scenes from season 2 just to censor them, and since the show was already having budget issues thats just a waste of money

Pretty sure we saw Peliodas when Gowther ran into him. Gowther then turned himself into his dead mother. Not much came from the encounter I think but Gowther probably gave the kid some mild trauma lol

The reason for this training was explained. Gloxinia and Drole made a decision 3000 years ago that led to them becoming a part of the ten Commandments. They want to see if the decision they made said 3000 years ago was right, and to find that out they have to send King and Diane "back in time" so that they can live trough them and experience the same events the same way. They aren't actually in the past their decisions won't effect the current, this is more off a simulation of the past than the actual past itself.

In my opinion, it's the other way around actually. The use of static sprites and limited movements are more frequent in the first few episodes and then goes away entirely. In addition, the blood censoring is halted a few episodes in and it returns to normal.

I really wish this wasnt censored I still dont understand why they did that. might not get the uncensored version until it comes out on netflix
