There's another thing to clarify, the survey actually won, because their goal was to retrieve shiganshina and wall marie, and reach the basement, which was fulfilled, on the other hand Zeke (the beast titan) lost, because first of all he couldn't capture eren which was their major goal, and lost the colossal titan which was their strongest titan.

I'm surprised you didn't react to Grisha in that family portrait and bo he didn't get inside the walls that young he was most older it was this season first half and he lost his memory remember Ymir was turned into a titan and that confirms there others places outside we still don't know the full story for the other side

i don't understand...how is erwin better then armin? erwin lead the whole scout to their death while armin would of never done that and he would of sacrisfice himself before anybody else. he would of think of a plan to fight the titan while only sacrificing his own life. who discover annie identidy? who told the team to inspect the inside of the wall? who idea was it to seal the hole? who defeated the colosal titan where the only casualty was himself? was it erwin? wtf did he do? at this point it is the bias talking. armin has done more then erwin in 1 season then he did in 3. the only thing erwin has over armin is experience and confidence. if armin has those then he be unstoppable. it also would of been sad as hell if armin die since eren, mikasa and him were like the 3 musketeer and we know more about armin character and his backstory then erwin.

Then what exactly would Armin do if he was in the same position as Erwin? It isn't fair to hold Erwin's decisions to the same standards as Armin's since they were faced with 2 completely different situations. You're forgetting that Zeke was literally making spaghetti sauce with everyone in sight while Bertholdt was simply trying to capture eren, the stakes were not the same in both situations. Erwin was faced against an enemy who resorted to the use of projectiles while Armin was simply faced against an impenetrable foe. Armin was targeting Bert while Erwin (along with everyone else) was the one being targeted. Do you get it now? Erwin did not have the luxury to die a selfless death because the situation he was in didn't allow it and It would have been no different if Armin was the one there instead. In fact, if Armin isnt willing to sacrifice all the soldiers, then that means he isn'tcut out to be in this situation to begin with because since the first season his whole philosophy was that "in order to overcome a monster, you must be willing to discard your own humanity", and that is what Erwin did in this moment. The situation is not that simple. People wanna try so hard to tell themselves that Armin is the right choice, but reality is that there is no right choice.
