In the subs you're watching, they call the slave that Law frees "Janbarl". Bad translation. It's Jean Bart (as in French Naval Commander and Privateer of the 1700s Jean Bart!) Lots of other characters are also named after real pirates as well!

Roger born in Loguetown, and he was executed in Loguetown. Recall the epithet of Loguetown when we were first introduced to that arc: "Loguetown: The town of the beginning, and the end". Very poetic.

Damn, I really enjoyed rewatching these episodes with you. So much mystery that they just keep teasing us with. The Poneglyphs, the Will of D., the "Voice of all things", the Void Century hundreds of years ago, the One Piece. Has me bubbling with excitement!

Luffy showed signs of Haki as well in the earlier episode where he made Duval's bull freak out by just staring at him. Zoro also used haki but much like Luffy was not aware that he actually used it. Also these next five episodes will forever stay with you. Prepare yourself, its about to get wild.

Episode 400 it is just epic! A lot of revelations! And I just want to make a note about what Roger said to Rayleigh “I’m not going to die, partner” it is the same that Hiluluk said to the last king of Drum Island “ When do you think a person die?... They die when they are forgotten”

One of my favorite moment: When Roger tells Ray that "He's not gonna die." Because, yeah, Hiluluk (Chpper's "Dad") said so himself: "A man dies... When he's forgotten." And damn yes Roger made sure, by being executed and told the world where his treasure is, that he wasn't gonna die any time soon.

Don't forget. When Zoro fought Kuma, it was right after fighting both Oars and Moria. He may have stood a better chance if he hadn't already been injured and tired.
