Did you know that Harenchi Gakuen not only adapted into live-action movie series in Japan, but also it was the very first live-action movie to be based on manga series? (Judging by the trailer, which was very self-aware of its origin as a manga, it resembles something like Porky's). Speaking of which, can I make a movie recommendation here?

this isn't a question so much as it's adding to the list of media released with panties as a bonus thing. in 2011, NISA held an art contest for the psp game, Prinny 2: Dawn of Operation Panties, Dood! where the winner would have their design printed on a pair of panties. i'm having trouble finding records of this but i DID find the contest page (https://nisamerica.com/games/prinny2/contest/panties.html) and i do still own a pair! though it looks like it was a super exclusive giveaway item and not something included with the official limited edition...? this is more wild than i remember. now you're cursed with this knowledge too.

I bought volume 18 of the Minna Agechau manga in 1987 at Kinokuniya bookstore in Rockefeller Plaza. I couldn't read a word of Japanese but I often browsed their manga section 'cause I loved the artwork. I no longer have it but I've never forgotten Minna Agechau because in that volume there was a bizarre sex contest taking place in a stadium, with sexual athletes like a guy with a monster tongue and another guy who was covered in moving hairs. I think there was a third contestant but I can't remember their sexual "powers." You mentioned you skimmed the manga and I was wondering if that contest struck you as amazing and hilarious as it struck me all those years ago.

This is a bit embarrassing to ask but I am legitimately interested: have you watched any of the wild hentai shit that was part of the early wave of English dub/localizations—like Urotsukidoji and Armitage and so on? What were your thoughts?

How difficult or at all was it to get the VHS’ used for the video.? You’ve mentioned a few times before having interest in some out there subgenres like in Vlad Love you mention/talk about “70’s vampire lesbian exploitation” movies which from my experience can be sometimes hard to track down similar things so I wondered if anime VHS was also something that can be tricky to find.
