I'm so glad they're delivering with the animation and I hope they can keep up because this is a show that really needs it. Don't get me wrong, the story is nice (and the anime staff seems like is trying to improve it) but the reason Solo Leveling is so hype is because of its action and art. Without it, it would be like watching John Wick without the good choreography.

Gosh the colours are DELICIOUS. There's no other words for it. I'm SO happy this episode stayed so truthful to the manhwa, this was amazing. This is the only episode I think is on par with the manhwa so far. AND I CAN FINALLY ADDRESS THIS! I was so riled up about people saying that the intro spoils a tonne of things, when half of it is the golem fight that never even happened xD He one-shot that thing straight out of the gate. I think that is honestly a brilliant way to handle an intro/OP, make a cool fight scene that never even happens. So we got the best of both worlds with the golem. Intro has a cool fight but he still gets to one-shot it in the actual anime. I'm so happy!

True! I remember Fire Force doing similar things in their op’s, like fighting a giant (fire) golem 😂 definitely a tasteful way to do it. I think most of the gripe was with showing Jinwoo looking *different* and the fight at the end of the opening with the red fella.
