I feel you. After watching season 2, season 1 feels like a warm up. But it does that really well. Its crazy how good the matches get from season 2 onwards. Season 1 is the perfect Intro to make you able to really understand the hype later as a volleyball beginner. What's also crazy about the show is that the matches are so unpredictable EVEN with the knowledge of how many episodes/seasons are left and easily being able to make predictions on how many sets a game probably takes and who wins. But in the moment you forget all of that and just think "wtf how is this going to end" and stuff like "wait, seijoh might do this".
