3 notes before watching: 1) Yes, 100% on Kawagata's reminder for Ep24 after-credit scene. 2) At the end of S1, there's an OVA adopted from the manga, something like "Arrival of Lev Haiba" whose content is otherwise not in the anime. I don't know if it's worth making a YT video on it (it and most of the beginning of S2 are lots of set-up for the big moments later in S2/S3, so might not get a lot of views), but I do think it would help to watch to learn who Lev is so he's not a random surprise in S2. Maybe just for you or Patreon exclusive so you don't have to edit? Haha. 3) There seems to be a tradition among Haikyuu reactors to make a "favorite moments of the season" or a "starting 7" (basically who you'd pick as the all-star line-up of setter, libero, 2 middle blockers, 3 wing spikers) at the end of each season to sort of see how that evolves, but I don't know if that would resonate with you or not. Seems like you'd be more tier-list style? Or maybe just verbal recap? Just wanted to put it out there so you could choose what to do with it.

After watching: I think your definition of momentum works really well, especially in a sport like volleyball where the rules are designed to give the advantage to the team that lost the previous point (assuming an average server, the receiving team gets the first spike). I think you're absolutely right, and the momentum wouldn't have changed at all if not for Daichi. I like how Daichi really is like a third coach, obviously with different roles and capabilities compared to Ukai and Takeda. I am surprised you didn't talk a little more about Kageyama, honestly. I like how they show his gradual progress. When he asks Hinata if he's okay to keep going for attacks or if he's tired, 1) that's a huge step up from just assuming / expecting others will be able to follow, but at the same time, 2) he was super awkward and used inappropriately formal language, since he just started literally this game to realize that judging the condition of his teammates is part of his job as setter. He still has a ways to go before mastering it, but I like that they're showing baby steps here. 3) The specific way he said "are you okay" there and Hinata's face in response is a sorta lame dad-joke reference to a famous former pro wrestler called Antonio Inoki (https://youtu.be/VrmYUvCf2fs). That's what he was known for saying.

The reason why I didn’t mention Kageyama as much is because I talked a bit about it previously, how he was trying his best to imitate Suga’s compassion or approach to teamplay. He mainly just continued that, but nonetheless still really huge on his part of progression. I’m really looking forward to when it comes natural rather than forced.
