Imagine if you had to renew your driving license or something every month.

I think when Kraft calls Frieren young, he's referring to her both physically and mentally. As you've seen in a few episodes, there is a statue of Kraft as an ancient hero whose name is forgotten to history (wearing clothes similar to that of Flamme's time and still looking like a fully grown adult) so I suspect he is indeed a decent amount older than Frieren. However, I think the main point he is bringing up is that Frieren's mental and emotional state reflects her age. I imagine Kraft has lived an incredibly long life filled with all sorts of experiences, from being a hero to simply wandering, and the weight of everyone he's ever interacted with and knew of his deeds having died left him to hope the Goddess is real, "needing" her existence to motivate him to continue living life to the fullest. So when he notices that Frieren doesn't believe in the Goddess, as he used to when he was young, he infers that she hasn't felt the accumulating weight of loss to the extent that an elf of his age would, which in his mind would naturally lead to one believing in the Goddess. Now even if Frieren was older than Kraft (which I don't think, since Frieren looks like a child in Flamme's time), I think Kraft's logic would still apply since Frieren never really interacted with people after Flamme's death until joining Himmel's party, so she hasn't had a life full of experiences and connections, and thus also hasn't experienced much loss, even though she's lived for so long. Anways, those are my thoughts on what Kraft meant - perhaps I should revisit his line of thinking should any other long-lived characters show up. Now this has also made me wonder why/to what extent does Sein believe in the Goddess, something for me to think about. Also it seems Kraft is like a DnD monk, an unarmed fighter, and that he's had a class change since his hero days (his statue had a sword at his hip). That ended up being longer than I expected, so thanks for reading and looking forward to next week!
