I love Stark's motivation for going on this journey and how it ties into Fern and Frieren's reasons, and also as a continuation of the legacy of Himmel's party. Each character is of course thier own person, but there are traits and roles from the old party that our current party's members have. Specifically, Frieren now is the leader of the party like Himmel was, while also retaining her original traits, Fern now mostly takes Frieren's old role and has been raised by both her and Heiter, and Stark now taking Eisen's role, and as you may have noticed in later episodes, he can be compared with Himmel in some ways. Also for a reasonable guess of mine, the reason why it took Himmel's party 10 years to complete their journey is because not only they had to overcome many obstacles with the Demon King's forces, but most likely spent quite a significant amount of time doing various side quests both on the way there and on the way back. Looking forward to your next reaction!

My favourite scene of this is when Stark and Fern is on the wall looking out over the hills, talking about Eisen and their journey. When they're both in frame looking directly at the camera, they take up half the screen each, Stark's background is open blue skies, showing that his heart is open to share his emotions. While Fern is against a brick wall, showing that she's closed off. To me that is a poster worthy scene. I love that so much. So simple characterisation.
