I couldn't wait to watch these after all. Here's a few neat things (I'm Danish, not German, so don't take my translations as gospel) Himmel = Sky/Heaven - personally I take his name more as "the blue sky" than "heaven", which would also explain his colour pallet. Heiter = Bright - as in lighting the way, I believe. Which fits with hope, faith, and man of the cloth/religion theme. Eisen = Iron - like the metal. Fits with his warrior aesthetic. Frieren = to be cold or freezing. It translates it to "Fryse" in Danish, which is more than just having a cold exterior. Some people say her name is French but I didn't see a translation for that. Ewig = forever - which is really interesting for the talk of eternal life. Fern = distant/remote - I believe it's more "Distant" than the word "remote" as google translated it, I think that was all the names this episode. I don't know why but I love it when Anime uses German names, It was an exceedingly difficult language for me to learn but I think it sounds great. I also love how you interrupted yourself to say "Damn that OST" I really can't wait for you to react to so many of my favourite things in this show. I hope you're well and have fun with this !

Good to see you back, and I hope your personal situations are smooth sailing from here on out! I may not comment very often, but I want you to know that I very much enjoy your approach to reaction content - sharing your thoughts and anecdotes, talking about themes, and just generally looking deeper or reflecting on what you watch. Frieren certainly became one my favourite shows, I could feel it was something special from the start, and it didn't disappoint at all. Also just some information that I'm sure others have already told you: The first 4 episodes were released all at once as the shows "prologue" and the OST is by Evan Call, who also created/worked on the OST for Violet Evergarden. Additionally, in my opinion the openings and endings are fine to watch, but I'll leave it to the Ascended Tier to give their judgement on that. Looking forward to the rest of your reactions!
