Yeah, Gon and Killua still have a lot to learn. But like Knuckle said, Gon at age 13 or so is already at the nen level of a mid-level pro. And like Gon said in an earlier episode, in terms of physical ability Knuckle actually doesn't seem to be a whole lot under Kite (but I think Kite would still make quick work of him because of experience and skill). As for the 'Elvis hair', it's actually the kind of hairstyle that's commonly associated with high-school thugs/delinquints in Japanese anime. Not sure just how prevalent it was in real life, but there's dozens of anime characters with this kind of hairstyle and almost all of them have a lot of shared personality traits and fight a lot. Knuckle's clothes also sorta look like a school uniform (IMO), so that's the kind of design they were going for with him. Shoot's design seems unique, I have no idea what its inspiration was. Upcoming episode 94 I'd say is very important.
