Yeah, Pokkle is also dead now. And his death was almost as disturbing as Ponzu's. In the manga the top of his head was actually removed with his brain exposed. And afterwards you actually see the pig start hacking him. These were mostly not 'completely' on panel, but they still showed enough to be able to tell what was going on. As for Hina (the human-like ant), I think her main reason for being is just looking cute. With so many ants, you gotta have a few adorable ones. You'll want the audience to remain interested and have a few likeable characters on the villain's side. As for Neferpitou... aka as Pitou for short, she is scary. Well, technically she is genderless. Looks and acts more like a female so most refer to her as a girl, but either way is fine. Well, actually all the ants are genderless I think other than the queen and king (but circumstance may cause them to develop a gender). Pokkle is also far from the first Hunter that died on-screen. Way back in the Hunter Exam arc, Hisoka killed an examinator in the tower phase and they are all hunters. And a decent amount of Hunters also died in the Yorknew City arc. And in the Greed Island arc more hunters died than in all previous arcs combined. I think the shock may have caused some memory loss.

I think for pitou the way she found him is because her senses Im assuming are just super heightened to the max, so she probably heard his heart beating? Idk when I saw this the royal guards were so scary, like unpredictably scary.
