Just FYI, the Yoda in Rebels is much closer to the original concept art for Yoda from Ralph McQuarrie. Similar to Zeb's look, which is based on McQuarrie's original concept for Chewbacca, and Chopper who is based on the original concepts for R2-D2. The designs are different from The Clone Wars ON PURPOSE. They are a tribute to McQuarrie who died in 2012 - just a couple of years before the series first aired.

BTW, I agree with you that it looked strange, but after my initial shock, I have grown to kind-of like it, or maybe I just got more used to it??? LOL Also, keep in mind that last season of Clone Wars didn't come out until 2020, so that HUGE jump in animation quality happened after Rebels had finished its run. Still, like you said, you can definitely see a hint of 'Disney-fication' in the animated Anakin version of Rebels. 🤔
