Absolutely adore Andor. It really is what the "war" in Star Wars is about; the people, the rights, the mistreatment. It finally shows us just how bad the empire is. And this is all supported by fantastic acting, set designs, camera work, all of it. And kino! He burned his life for a sunrise he'll never see.. Cannot wait for the next two episodes!

Star Wars has always been about the fight against fascism - the Sith, the Empire, the First Order, they are all just variations of the same garbage ideology. The difference between this show and the movies, is that in the latter we only get to join the fighting once the lines between the good guys and the bad guys have been fully defined - I mean, the Stormtroopers are a direct reference to the Nazi troops of WW2, and the Empire was blowing up planets for crying out loud! - Andor is showing us the sacrifices that needed to be made, and the price that needed to be paid by a whole bunch of "nameless" people all across the galaxy to lay the groundwork just so that Luke and Han could be the big heroes and get their medals in the end. This Luthen speech is really up there with anything Star Wars has done ever: "I burn my decency for someone else's future. I burn my life to make a sunrise that I know I'll never see. And the ego that started this fight, will never have a mirror, or an audience, or the light of gratitude"... Sorry for the long quote, but it was pure poetry! 👏👏👏
