September 2017 Monthly Music Faves (Patreon)

I thought of a good idea for a blog post series would be sharing some of my music favorites every month. I tend to listen to the same things over and over again when I become obsessed with something, and felt that this would be a great way to branch out, and encourage myself to listen to new things. On top of that we can all share what we've all been listening to, make recommendations, and discover new music together! :)

Before we get started, I want to quickly say thank you for your support! I've had this Patreon for over a month now, and all of you being here means the world to me. I honestly can't thank you all enough. If you ever have any suggestions how I can make this Patreon better, please let me know. 

Now on to the faves! :D

• Oliver - Full Circle: This technically came out back in August, but it became my soundtrack for much of the beginning of September. Oliver are one of the few 80s inspired bands that actually sound like they come from that era, while at the same time sound fresh and modern. Favorite songs include: Electrify, Chemicals, Heterotopia, and At Night. 
• Carly Rae Jepsen - E●MO●TION: Do NOT judge me on this! This album is FANTASTIC! I never really gave Carly's music a chance until I read Max Landis' dissertation on the pattern in her entire discography, and I was completely blown away.  What have I been missing out on? The whole album is a bop! And once you see the pattern, you can't unsee it. Favorite songs include: Run Away With Me, Emotion, Boy Problems, and Making The Most Of The Night. 
• ODESZA - A Moment Apart: As you probably know from some of the descriptions of the GIFs I made toward the end of September, that I became obsessed with this album. So much so that five GIFs were directly inspired by it. The way the album opens is so intriguing. It immediately sets you up for a journey you won't forget. I listened to the intro fascinated, and shortly after track 2 started, I made Constellation. Favorite songs include: A Moment Apart, Just A Memory, and Corners Of The Earth.
