Alrighty everyone... the scary movie time is upon us! (I'm dreading this already) Give me your October recommendations! I'm looking for NOT TOO SCARY (if you recommend The Exorcist, I'm not going to trust any of your suggestions hahaha). "Not too scary" is different for everyone, but let me know what you want to see me react to! Give me your fav horror comedies, not-too-scary horror movies, fun Halloween movies, must see thrillers... Let me know! I'm already planning on watching Shawn of the Dead, The Mummy Returns, and The Sixth Sense next month. And if horror isn't your favorite genre (it's certainly not mine), don't worry! I'm not going to react to ONLY scary movies in October :)

In other news, Saw X is being released soon. Now hear me out on this one, Addie. You would absolutely hate the Saw series... those movies are bloody and gory and will fill you with anxiety. But if you make it through the first 9, when you get to Saw X you'll get to say, "today we're watching Sawx" (socks), and there would be much laughter. Might be worth the suffering?

For some reason, I’ve Never been a fan of the original Scream franchise, until the 2022 Scream. I enjoyed the hell out of that one. Scream 6 was descent but still better than the first four.

In the original Saw, the gore is implied mostly. You don't hardly see any blood, sort of like "Seven".

Ive never seen Halloween but I have seen scream several times and you dont need to see Halloween at all to understand scream in the slightest. So its okay if it wins. Addie will be fine. :)

lmao hopefully no one said you need to watch it to understand it. theres just a good amount of fun things that'll be missed. scream is like the ultimate slasher satire and its rewarding to know what is being satirized. but maybe its a niche thing and only horror cinema lovers are into that stuff.

Knowing how she doesn’t like horror and putting her to see scream? just do psycho addie scream might be a bit much, out of all of these psycho is the most bearable to be honest

October is the one month of the year that Addie is willing to subject herself to horror movies, so you can bet your ass we're going to take full advantage of it (the old 'suffering for your art' routine). That said, my main objections to her watching "Scream" are more because a) it's the weakest title in this poll, IMO, and b) she's not going to get a lot of the references it makes to other horror movies due to her not having seen any of them.
