I remember when this came out and something just never appealed to me. I enjoyed the cast and that's honestly about it. I'm there with you Addie, I won't be watching it again. The thing about what Carson Wells, Woody Harrelson, said about the number of floors. There's an old superstition about buildings with more than 14 floors. The 13th floor was always considered bad luck. So it'll go from the 12th to the 14th, which is still the 13th floor even if it's not named that. There was a movie called 1408 (2007) with John Cusack and Samuel L. Jackson that kinda dives into that. You probably have Oct/scary season filled up but this is a movie you can add to a list for another time. Take care of yourself, Addie!! Tell Ollie I said hi!!

I believe you are the first reactor to realize that Brolin's injury was caused by the lock hitting him, everyone else assumes he was shot. Kudos! This is the only film I am aware of with literally no score, the band playing didn't count as that was "in movie." You didn't really comment on the mind blowing concept that the main character of the movie was killed... off camera lol. And yes the other major Coen films reacted to are Fargo and The Big Lebowski and for good reason.

I believe Scorsese's "Silence" also didn't have a score... and, apart from the Stephen Bishop song that plays over the opening credits, "The China Syndrome" doesn't, either. Personally, I think "The Big Lebowski" is a little overrated, in the sense that it's maybe their *8th* best film, rather than one of their top 3, as many seem to think.
