Happy Friday, Addie! 😊 I'm really glad that this one won the poll. It's without a doubt one of my top favorite Mel Gibson films. Definitely looking forward to watching this later this evening. Another great Mel Gibson movie that I very highly recommend is the 1994 "Maverick". Have a great day today, and a great weekend! 😊

She's about to watch Hacksaw Ridge (2016) next week and Mel Gibson directed that movie.

Addie, I'm going to recommend another best Mel Gibson movie out there. It's a true story called "We Were Soldiers" and Mel doing that movie inspired him to direct Hacksaw Ridge. We Were Soldiers is one of Mel Gibson best performances out there. This movie depicts the first battle to start Americas involvement in the Vietnam War, a true story based on a best selling book called "We Were Soldiers Once" that tells the story of this battle.

On the bright side the movie never says in direct quotes "Based on a true story" so at least people going in to take everything being said and done with a grain of salt right? 😆

This is such a good movie. I didn't vote for it but I'm not sorry it won. After you start exploring foreign movies I'll recommend a few from Sophie Marceau, who played Princess Isabelle. She has a few decent Hollywood movies but her best work was in France.

Her other most memorable Hollywood role probably being in the James Bond movie "The World Is Not Enough," of course (still hoping Addie eventually reacts to the rest of them 🙏).

Romantic scene but then, “I have to sneeze but I don’t want to ruin this moment.” (sneeze) 😂 never hold it in, let it fly. “Oh, there’s still so many of them. AND they have the high ground!” 👏👏👏 The two moments I was waiting for the most were the pressed flower and of course, the Princess dropping that epic bomb. “A child who is not of your line grows in my belly.” Addie: “Is that going to be the last thing he hears before he dies?” I’ve watched other reactions and I knew other parts of the movie, I have to agree with you that because of the length of the movie it’s not something to watch again any time soon.
