This week I was fortunate enough to watch The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King in theaters for the 20th anniversary! Shoutout to the patrons who told me that it would be in select theaters this month (I'm glad I got my tickets a month ago because this theater was SOLD OUT). Becoming a LOTR fan later in life, I never expected to be able to watch the movies in theaters, so this was such a special moment to share this movie with others who adore this trilogy as much as I do. I remember that when I finished the trilogy, I wondered if the movies would have as such of an emotional impact as when I first watched them. And after watching this movie in theaters... yes yes yes, I did indeed feel every emotion the same way as I did the first time :) I loved watching it on a big screen, and I feel like I caught on to a lot of things that I may have missed before.

This also feels like a full circle moment because I first watched the Lord of the Rings trilogy a year ago this month. If you've followed along with any of my Q&As, you know how much I absolutely adore these movies. My reactions to the LOTR also feel like the beginning of the channel and of this community here. I posted some reaction videos sporadically before this, but last April was the beginning of posting consistently and doing this thang full time. This trilogy will always have a special place in my heart for so many reasons, and one huge reason is that it brought a lot of you together to make a great community here :) Thank you all for being on this movie-watching journey with me, and here's to many many more movies and shows together!

We have the same here in Sweden in a few weeks, have tickets for all three. There is nothing better than to be surrounded by LOTR fans reacting to all the classic moments. Been on a few of these over the years, they are always super fun.

Very cool! I have yet to watch this movie. Long movies I have to schedule time for. LOTR and Avatar 2 are on my to do list.

Addie, your story of LotR being one of your first real reactions is a common one as LotR is one of the most (if not the most) reacted to movies for reactors just starting out. Yet you'd be surprised how many bad reactions, and how many more mediocre ones I've seen. But I can honestly say your reaction is one of best I've seen. Glad you got to see RotK in theater, I would love to see it there again.

Last year I was able to see Two Towers and Return of the King in theaters and it's amazing. It's like a whole new movie. I unfortunately missed fellowship's showings. So happy that you caught it on the big screen.

Thanks for sharing this, Addie! Watching your reactions to LOTR was also the beginning of *my* relationship with your channel, as I presume it is for many of your patrons. Here's to another year of fun together! 🎈🥂

Hear, hear. I would love to see Addie watch Rise of the Planet of the Apes (2011), Dawn of the Planet of the Apes (2014), and War for the Planet of the Apes (2017) with Andy Serkis as Caesar.

awesome! Watching in a theater is always fun for me. I used to stay for the credits even before they started adding post-credit scenes. I used to say "I paid for this, I'm staying..." 🙂😄 plus you can listen to the music
