Here's the full length reaction to the final Hobbit film! I honestly don't know what to do with my life now that this is over... I'm sure Step 1 will be to finally read the books now that I've finished the films, and Step 2 will be to rewatch the LOTR movies over and over :) I wish I could go back and watch the movies with fresh eyes again, but I imagine I'll fall even deeper in love with the story every time I watch the movies! Enjoy!

Interested in what your final verdict will be on The Hobbit trilogy. I've been watching the LOTR trilogy for 20 years now. You'll find a lot of new things to appreciate with your rewatches. I'd recommend you check out the behind-the-scenes documentaries (if you're into that sort of thing). I've rewatched those many times over the years as well. The story behind the making of the LOTR trilogy is just as impressive as the films themselves. And the BTS for The Hobbit trilogy is interesting, too. (But we're talking many, many, many hours of documentary material here). The other thing you can do is watch first-time reactions to LOTR ... which is as close as we can get to seeing it again for the first time (at least after you've watched it yourself a few times). :)

Once you start reading the books, you’ll find many things that were changed, added, or left out of the films.

Zack

Hehehe it only took 6 lord of the rings films but you finally swore addie.

It was a privilege to join you on this Middle Earth journey, Addie. You've become a favorite reactor through these. Looking forward to what else we share.

Zack

Oh i don't think you have to worry about that. If anything it makes it more hilarious when you try not to, and more amusing once you do.

I'm going to break my silence and say I love your reactions and channel. Thank you for being awesome. I enjoy experiencing my favourite movies with you. 🎧

My only minor gripes with the trilogy were how underwritten Fíli (given his fate) and Glóin (given his ties to LOTR) were, the lack of closure given to Tauriel's character, and the lack of any sort of explanation as to why Radagast was MIA during the events of LOTR. Otherwise, they were solid follow-ups for anyone looking for the events of LOTR to be further integrated into the "Hobbit" story.

Which version where you watching? I was watching the HBO Max theatrical version and some parts didn't match up. The extended edition seems too long for this video. Great reaction channel though!

Addie Counts

This is the extended edition! I just updated the title of this post to show that, so thank you for bringing that up :) I watched the extended editions of The Desolation of Smaug and The Battle of the Five Armies, but the Unexpected Journey reaction is the theatrical version and will sync up with the one on HBO Max!
