See you soon for Mission: Impossible - Fallout (2018, not to be confused with the TV series you just watched). It's gonna get EVEN BETTER. There will be TWO IMAX sequences, where the aspect ratio opens up, in that one.

Hi Addie, 'Rogue Nation' is my favorite in the franchise. Its the start of the Christopher McQuarrie period. When I first saw Rebecca Ferguson on the screen I instantly fell in love with her, haha!! The epitome of a femme fatale. I can't wait for you to be introduced to Henry Cavill in the next one. I'm a fanboy.

Okay, so Addie, interesting fact. Yes Tom Cruise did in fact hang on to the side of the airplane as it took off, how unsurprising, however, during that stunt a pebble flew off the aircraft at very high speeds and hit him in the chest and he thought he was about to die or got seriously impaled and they had to to check him over as he was having a hard time breathing after. Tom Cruise said "it felt like somebody shot me." This isnt going to be the only injury he suffers in this series. There is an injury in the next film too during a stunt that was so bad they had pause production until he healed, BUT they actually kept the take of him gettinf injured in the next film. Let's see if you can spot it when it happens in MI Fallout :)

One thing that this entry really showcases for me is the re-invention of the Ethan Hunt character as compared to the cocky hot-shot of the first two entries. By deciding to make him more vulnerable (both emotionally and physically)--it made it way easier to root for his character. Suddenly he feels like a reluctant underdog in a way that reminds me of Indiana Jones. The scene in the opera house is one of my favorite scenes in the entire series, particularly for the way it uses the in-world music of the opera as the music score for the fight scene. In terms of vulnerability, they make it a point to show just how undersized Cruise is next to the giant he's fighting. Not only that, but Ethan needs his life saved TWICE in this movie (both times by new character Ilsa Faust). It's actually amazing just how much of the story showcases Ilsa, even going so far as to give her the final fight at the end with the Bone Doctor. It demonstrates that when they made this movie, they were more concerned about creating the most interesting story, rather than portraying Ethan Hunt as the main action hero in every situation.

I saw a behind the scenes that said Simon Peggs fear when they drove the car down the stairs was real, because he did not know that Tom Cruise was going to do that.

Yes, I'm glad to see she hasn't forgotten about it, and will indeed also be doing "Django Unchained"... though not so much about delving into the "Blade" and "Fantastic Four" series -- largely just as homework for "Deadpool and Wolverine" (so much for continuing one of the handful of franchises she recently left dangling after the first outing once she's wrapped the last POTA movie and last 2 M:I movies). 😕

Satisfying is the perfect word for this movie, especially when Lane was revealed to be in that box. I thought it was the best M:I movie yet, but then Fallout came out next and wow did it top even Rogue Nation for me! I bet the Add-Meister will love it just as much.
