Here's the full length reaction to Episode 2 ("The Target") of Fallout! I have so many questions about how the world got to this point, and I can't wait to learn more about this world and the characters' backstories as I get further into the season! Enjoy!

Think of this world as "retro futuristic" in this world, humanity never advanced past 1950s style technology even though its the mid 22nd century. All the music you hear is purposefully intended as its 1950s style music the only music the people in this world would of been subjected to before the Bombs fell.

So some nods to the video game. -The reason the dog healed so fast, is the fact that is how it happens in video games. You heal instantly in the fallout video games, xD -When Lucy approaches the guy in the diaper, she's pointing her gun at him while talking and being nice. That's an intentional nod to when, in the game, you'll approach an character to start a conversation but forget to press the button to holster your weapon.

btw this is canon to the games and is set nine years after the last singleplayer game. This isn't directly based off one of the games, like The Last of Us was a direct translation of the game.

“He has the high ground!” I had a feeling you would be saying that!! You’re so awesome!! I’m taking a guess that the Dr had some knowledge of Lucy’s Dad. The Last of Us… Dungeons and Dragons… Fallout… you could group these together as video game movie/show reactions. Just an idea.

Not only that, the way the guy in the diaper was standing, his slouched pose and shuffling walk is a direct reference to how some village NPCs look like in the original Fallout 1 game. Tim Cain, the creator of Fallout, Remarked how impressed he was about that detail and asked about it at the premiere of the show, and apparently it wasn’t planned like that by so it might just be that that actor was a fan and decided to play the character based of off that.

"Would've", or "would have". "Would of" makes no sense. The music is mostly, if not all, from the '40s, not the '50s.

God people like you need to go touch grass occationally instead of sitting there correcting peoples grammar. 🖕

Didn't play the game, and this is like the 3rd time watching the series and I JUST realized that "doomsday" as it were didn't happen in a technologically advanced 50s, but rather a culturally stunted 2070s. The dates on the wedding dress kinda bothered me because they weren't lining up in my head, but it was when I saw the ruins of the Theme Building at the end of this episode that it all click for me. The Theme Building was opened at LAX in '61 I think which made me go back and do the math from the dress dates and 219 years previously would have been like 2075 or something.
