Astrid trembled in excitement as she sent a fleeting glance to her surroundings. Thankfully, nothing was happening. Was the tree king getting ready for the next “dungeon floor?”

Astrid shook her head. Whatever the reason was, she was thankful. The moment she had been waiting for had finally arrived.

Now that her range had increased by quite a lot with the help of the added Wisdom stat, Astrid decided to once more focus on raising her Intelligence for the damage increases. But of course it wasn’t just the damage that Intelligence improved, but her movement speed with matter control along with it.

It was best to keep her Intelligence high, and only invest in Wisdom when she felt her range was suffering. With her newly created dark matter Skills, she couldn’t be so far away, anyway.

With her heart palpitating adrenaline throughout, she moved on to the other System messages.

Astrid used Psych Domain and attempted to focus on the difference. She noticed that her matter detected was a lot more sensitive now. The matter was closer, almost like she was inspecting the millions of specs through a telescope.

Although she couldn’t test the new Stage 3 effects as there was nothing to pose a threat currently, and there wasn’t a beast around so she couldn't’ scour its emotions.

She thought back to Freya. The woman’s poker face was incredible. Astrid wondered if she could now detect what was going through that scheming head of hers.

Smirking, Astrid moved onto the other Skill that she had maxed–Pyshcic’s Power.

It was a boring addition, but Astrid was more than happy about the upgrade as she felt her mana container magically expand at the Stage 3 upgrade.

She had long felt the drain on her mana container, especially with her newly created dark matter Skills. Especially her sphere of death. Just one of those sapped her mana container almost in its entirety. It wasn't something she could continue using, but now, she would have a bunch of mana left over for other Skills.

There was no need to test her extended mana container as it was straightforward, so she quickly moved to the more important System messages.

Rare - Omni-Kinetic Brawler: From your knowledge of how to alter your bodies matter with Omni-Kinesis, the Psychokinetic Brawler is all about focusing on improving one's body through psychic means. This Class vastly improves your capabilities of Omni-Kinesis.

Astrid tapped her foot as she sunk herself in her thoughts.

It was a huge buff to Omni-Kinesis, but nothing else. Although it would vastly increase her movement speed, and the durability of her body, it didn’t synergize well with her other Class at all.

Well, apart from the clones that was. She could imagine rushing into a brawl with her clones by her side. The enemy wouldn’t know which one to focus on, as it enabled her to get closer with her sword.

Although imagining the scenario did feel good for her hot blood, she knew it wasn’t the best choice. Astrid continued onto the other choices… Thankfully–this time she wasn’t forced into one.

Epic - Living Weapon: The pathway to Matter Absorption has just begun. The Living Weapon specialises in absorbing the matter of the world into their own body to strengthen oneself. Whether it's using metal to create armour, or to re-create your arms as sharpened weapons with the same material. This Class vastly improves your capabilities of Matter Absorption.

Living Weapon… It sounds so cool. Astrid’s eyes sparkled at the description.

Unlike Omni-Kinetic Brawler, Living Weapon had a lot more advantages.

Through Matter Absorption, the possibilities could theoretically be endless. Much like the tree king, could she do the same as what it was currently doing by absorbing the strange mushrooms? Would she herself just transform into one big tree? Or did she need certain Skills for her to accomplish the same feats as it was doing?

Astrid didn’t know the answer, but gambling on theoretical knowledge that she didn’t understand at the minute didn’t sit well with her.

Epic - Mind Dominator: With overcoming great mental battles, you are beginning to become one with the Mind Domain. The Mind Dominator bends others minds to their whim. Force them into a world not of their understanding and massacre their hopes and dreams–for they are nothing but your puppet.

Astrid shook her head. The description was awesome, and definitely made her heartbeat speed up. But it was far too situational. What would she do against a monster she couldn’t enter Mind Domain against?

Besides, Mind Domain left her body completely defenceless. It was only good if she either had a team around her, or it was a one-on-one battle.

It wasn’t a good choice for her.

Legendary - The Barrier Augur: The Barrier Augur specialises in keeping those it cares about–alive, and unharmed. Laugh in the face of devastating attacks that would ordinarily obliterate a tanks defences as you redirect damage with your newly evolved barriers, shields, and armour.

Astrid gazed at the sparkling golden words that she had half expected to pop up. Not from her arrogant nature, okay maybe it was, but it was mostly because of her Psychokinetic Class.

Usually, a Legendary Class would always have another Legendary variant, but there were some cases where one didn’t receive one.

Straining her mind, she recalled Earl Kamron.

There was a lot of drama that had plagued HMS Rebirth back then as the high noble in his young age had received a Legendary Class.

Of course, as a noble with a long family history of the Legendary Class–Dread Knight, such a thing was always going to be obvious.

The drama occurred when he reached Level one hundred in his Class. His spiralling trajectory was all but guaranteed… at least it should have been. Instead, his high speed progress thanks to his Legendary Class, was swiftly overtaken by the lower tiered nobles.

Others believed that he had gotten lazy–but the high nobles hadn’t been able to latch onto their positions for so long just from their personal power.

Just like Freya, one also had to rely on their brains to survive.

Because of that, they soon discovered the reason as to Earl Kamron’s slumber.

He had chosen a Rare Class.

Many of the higher nobles even rumoured that it was worse than that, but whatever Class he had indeed chosen, resulted in a steep decline in his ability to match his peers.

With everyone else having Legendary or Epic Classes, he fell to the wayside.

Forgotten, and ridiculed.

Shaking her head from the pointless rumours of bored Rebirth nobles, Astrid focused on the Class.

The percentage buff to all her Skills was incredible, not only her Mind Barrier which was her main defensive ability, but Mind Armour as well. It was also certain that she would gain powerful, unique Class Skills from choosing the Class, but although it was strong, it offered little in offence.

And where was the fun in just relying on defence?

No, she wanted to rip out the eyes of her enemies in a brutal fight of life and death.

Not again… Astrid groaned and hastily moved onto the last Class choice she was given. It instantly washed away any negative emotion as she gazed at the never before seen, transcendent words. Literally.

“That’s the one!” Astrid jumped on the spot as she grinned. She had never heard of a Transcendent Class ever before. Even in the far history of their records.

The choice was like the previous beacon of light in the sky, it was as if it was guiding her eyes straight to the Class. Something within her body felt like it was pulling her towards it.

Without waiting, she accepted it.
