Early Release: MOTW 279 (Patreon)

Did you have a Thing in high school? Something that you were obsessed with that no one else really had an interest in, making you feel like you were the only person in the world that liked it? No one I knew in high school listened to Tori Amos, and recently I found out that Tori Amos wrote a whole diss track about Courtney Love. Courtney has had a lot of songs written about her over the years, and she claims most of them even if they aren't exactly complimentary, but apparently the one Tori wrote got under her skin. If you had told me in 1997 that Professional Widow was written about Courtney Love it would have blown my tiny little mind. 

But this isn't a podcast about Tori Amos (although I am pitching Chris on that exact topic now that I've written it out), it's a podcast about the Winchesters! We continue to get into the emotions of John Winchester as he's forced to confront the most terrifying monster across all of Supernatural: DADDY! Thank god Mary is here. 

PS Professional Widow isn't the best Tori Song, and it's impossible to pick just one best Tori song, but I've always enjoyed this live version of Talula quite a bit. Will it make you a Tori fan? Probably not. Should it? Absolutely.
