It's here! The fourth episode of SFTSTWB, covering the second half of Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers.

What did we even say in this podcast? I have no idea. We recorded it like a week or two ago and I sort of forgot to edit it until just now. But I'm sure whatever we said was cool, good, and smart.

Also, Denathor did love Faramir. It was complicated. As the Steward of Gondor, he is of an ancient line of men. As ancient as Aragorn, as ancient as the Kings. The same Numenorian blood that runs through Aragorn's veins runs through Denathors, albeit somewhat diluted. Denathor obviously loved his first born most. Boromir was his heir. He was a warrior. But did not have much numenorian blood. Faramir however did. A lot. And he had visions. Faramir was a bit softer, kinder, gentler. He looked more like his mother. Speaking of, after his birth, she got ill, often, and died when he was inky a child. Denathor blames her death on Faramir and obviously looking like her, he is reminded of her. And to top it off... faramir had 2 visions about the council if elrond. That's how they knew to go. You can presume the Valar intended Faramir to go with the fellowship and boromir to remain behind to fight the war for gondor. Faramir resists the ring in the end, he let's frodo go. So, then he blames faramir for Boromirs death too. Unfairly.
