It's how you play the game.

Right from the start, I feel that it wasn't really about the game for Myungha. It seems like since day one, he's been wearing his heart on his sleeve, feeling a deep connection with Yeowoon's woes. The scene where Myungha poured his heart out to his sunbae in the first episode, going on about how Yeowoon doesn't deserve his ending (his sad life) in the book, makes me believe that he really cares. Even before stumbling upon the whole death penalty drama, Myungha was already itching to lend a helping hand without trying to go back to the real world (I don't think he wants to go back). That's why I'm not uncomfortable over the idea of Myungha making Yeowoon loves him just for the sake of the game because I know that's not true. That's not his style. He's not out there playing ; he's more like a guardian angel, swooping in to shield Yeowoon from life's curveballs and offering a shoulder to lean on. That's what he truly wants. For now, he doesn't even seem to want to make Yeowoon fall for him romantically, he just wants him to like him as a friend and someone he can rely on.
