The 1987 film 'Prison' is a good one from Wyoming, and features the recently departed Tiny Lister (he plays a character called Tiny) Actually has a half decent poster as well. I always think that 'Close Encounters…' would be better remembered if it hadn't come out the same year as 'Star Wars'. The poster of course features a type face by Dan Perri who like Williams worked on both films.

Type face, fonts. That shakes a brain cell loose. One of the things I like about John Carpenters films is that they almost always use the same font for credits front and last. I think it helps in tying his work together. No other directors appear to do that.

Wyoming... Take away the westerns (Unforgiven, Cat Ballou, Butch and Sundance? NO!) I'd point out the meh! of 202's Rollerball remake. Don't know why they did the film, assume the poster was make for small change by an art student. Washington state. Can't think of any except that 2017 thing, 'Death Note'. Taken from a manga, it is so-so, but the Black and White poster, a graphic from the manga I think, is quiet eye catching. Twin Peaks was filmed out there, but I can't think of a poster, so it couldn't have been worth much.

I mostly enjoy watching movies/shows purported to be set in Seattle but clearly totally misunderstanding how long it takes to get between areas, which are and aren't scungy, etc. My favorite was The Ring; great horror film, but provided some chuckles to local audiences. My favorite scene was what would seem to be a throwaway showing the main character's ten year old walking home alone from school--under the monorail tracks. Not only are no schools anywhere near any part of that route, it's all next to major downtown streets, busy four way stops, and some seriously gritty parts of town--no parent in their right mind would okay a kid walking that route.

Now I really want you to do a detailed comparison review of the Wicker Man movies!
