I've had this one to watch for ages  and have been avoiding it. Like Fugitive Alien, this is producer Sandy Frank taking a Japanese TV series and editing it into a film, which works as well as you would expect. I've been avoiding it because we did Fugitive alien relatively recently, because Fugitive Alien is one of our worst performing videos, and because watching Fugitive Alien bored the crap out of me. But the last batch of reviews had a few similar movies in it so I needed something different and Time of the Apes is definitely different. It's not as boring as Fugitive Alien - mainly because there's one film rather than two - and the ape make-ups are pretty good. The plot is as nonsensical as you would expect but at least it's amusingly nonsensical. In fact there are some basic problems that may have existed even before Sandy Frank got his hands on it. I don't know if this one will do better than Fugitive Alien view-wise, we've never been able to predict which reviews will do well and which poorly, it seems to be a crap-shoot. More importantly, this poster looks awesome.
