A sci-fi Western (no idea who the girl on the left hand side of the poster is, she's certainly not in the film). My strong feeling is that either this is someone trying to do their own Westworld, or it was an existing script that had elements of Westworld crow-barred in. Not wanting to preempt anything I say in the review but the exact nature of the sci-fi element keeps going back and forth between serious government experiment and game, finally deciding that just because something is a serious government experiment doesn't mean it can't also be a game. It's like saying that the commander of an army should be determined via a game of Risk. I really hate the reviews where I have to spend ages explaining a ridiculously complex premise - it takes time away from the jokes but if I don't do it then the jokes don't land. Still it's got Jack Palance, Keir Dullea and Samantha Eggar in it. rb

A sci-fi western? Reminds me of the Mexican musical Ship of Monsters! That movie's too good for Dark Corners though, despite it's low-budget, and general silliness. :)

I always enjoy Jack Palance, even when he was playing a rapey outlaw in God’s Gun.
