Detractor's Commentary: The Magnetic Monster

Maybe it's the difference of the thing that makes me look at it with a certain fondness for its half-comic book, half-Dragnet approach. Similar, but completely different: Have you ever seen "Unidentified Flying Objects: The True Story of Flying Saucers"? Made in 1956 it's a docudrama before there were docudramas. And it exists on an undefinable outer ring of films the way "Magnetic Monster" does. Amusing in its seriousness, it wears its heart on its filmic sleeve, and I've always sort of admired that. And what's this? It's on YouTube. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4bGTLtdwPHM
